Fueling Our Community

For more than 50 years, Meals on Wheels programs have done more than deliver food. They have delivered dignity, connection, and care to seniors and homebound neighbors across the country. What began as a simple idea, that no one should go without a nutritious meal or a friendly face checking in on them, has grown into one of the country’s most trusted community support networks. Each delivery serves as a wellness check and a moment of human connection. For over five decades, volunteers and staff have shown up, rain or shine, to make sure vulnerable community members are seen, supported, and cared for.

At Ontario Shores FCU, “people helping people” is not just a credit union philosophy, it’s how we show up to help our neighbors and help our community thrive. This September, for every auto loan, Ontario Shores FCU will donate $50 towards local Meals on Wheels programs. That means every member who drives away in a new or used vehicle is also helping deliver a meal to a neighbor in need.
